  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Topping:

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Apple Cider:
    • Boil the apple cider in a saucepan until reduced by half. Let it cool.
  • Preheat and Prepare Pan:
    • Preheat your oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • Mix Ingredients:
    • Beat the butter and brown sugar together until fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
    • Gradually mix in the flour, apple pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    • Fold in the reduced apple cider until just combined.
  • Bake the Bread:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Add Topping:
    • Brush the warm bread with melted butter. Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    • Let the bread cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
