- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped apples
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine the mashed bananas, applesauce, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Notes
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle some chopped nuts on top before baking.
