Description

Bacon and Egg Croissant Boat is a delightful breakfast or brunch dish featuring crispy bacon, baked eggs, and melted cheddar cheese all nestled in a buttery croissant boat. This savory, satisfying dish is perfect for a cozy morning or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 croissants
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped chives for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  • Cut the croissants in half and hollow out the insides to form a boat shape.
  • Place the croissants on a baking sheet.
  • Crack an egg into each croissant boat.
  • Crumble the cooked bacon on top of the eggs.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the bacon and eggs.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs are set to your liking.
  • Garnish with chopped chives before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, you can add a tablespoon of heavy cream to each egg before baking.
  • You can substitute bacon with sausage or ham if preferred.
  • Adjust the baking time depending on how runny or firm you want the eggs.
