- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 (12 oz) container whipped topping
- 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup milk
- Chocolate shavings, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions. Allow the cake to cool, then crumble it into small pieces.
- In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and Baileys Irish Cream until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until the mixture thickens.
- To assemble the trifle, layer half of the crumbled cake at the bottom of a trifle dish or glass bowl.
- Top with half of the cream cheese mixture, followed by half of the chocolate pudding.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining crumbled cake, cream cheese mixture, and chocolate pudding.
- Finish with a layer of whipped topping and garnish with chocolate shavings.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
