Description

Crispy, golden batter-dipped fried fish fillets are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. Perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection, these fish fillets are great on their own or served with a side of fries and tartar sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish fillets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in beer and egg until the batter is smooth.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 375°F (190°C).
  • Dip fish fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Fry fish in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4 minutes per side.
  • Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any white fish fillets such as cod, haddock, or pollock.
  • For an extra crispy texture, try double-dipping the fish fillets in the batter before frying.
  • Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce, like tartar sauce or aioli.
  • If you prefer non-alcoholic batter, you can substitute beer with sparkling water or club soda.
