Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in beer and egg until the batter is smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 375°F (190°C).
- Dip fish fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
- Fry fish in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
