Description

Crispy on the outside and packed with a flavorful pork and vegetable filling, these homemade egg rolls are a perfect appetizer or snack. Easy to make and delicious with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook ground pork over medium heat until no longer pink. Add garlic and ginger, and cook for an additional minute.
  • Stir in cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and remove from heat.
  • Place a spoonful of the filling onto an egg roll wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F. Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can use ground chicken or beef instead of pork for a different flavor.
  • For a healthier version, try baking the egg rolls instead of frying them.
