Description

Start your day with a delicious Breakfast Pizza topped with eggs, cheese, and your favorite breakfast meats and veggies. Perfect for a hearty brunch or a quick breakfast!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pizza:

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade, if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup pizza or tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage or bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before rolling it out.
  • Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into your desired shape (round or rectangular). Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Add the Sauce:
    • Spread a thin layer of pizza or tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Add the Cheese:
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  • Add Toppings:
    • Scatter the crumbled sausage or bacon, diced bell peppers, and onions over the cheese. If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Add the Eggs:
    • Remove the pizza from the oven and carefully crack the eggs onto the pizza, spacing them out evenly. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 6-8 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still slightly runny, or to your desired doneness.
  • Season and Serve:
    • Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt, pepper, and optional dried oregano and garlic powder. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite breakfast ingredients, such as spinach, mushrooms, or different types of cheese.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce before serving.
