Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually mix in the flour and baking soda, then fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the dough.
