- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
- Combine Ingredients: Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes (with their juice), beef broth, soy sauce, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer: Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the flavors have melded together.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Adjust the seasoning according to your taste. For added spice, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
