- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups diced apple (peeled)
- 1 cup caramel bits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Stir in the diced apples and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For added texture, you can sprinkle some chopped nuts on top before baking.
