- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup salsa
- 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Optional toppings: sour cream, diced tomatoes, green onions
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning, water, salsa, and uncooked pasta. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the liquid has absorbed.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Let the cheese melt.
- Serve with optional toppings like sour cream, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra spice, you can use a spicy salsa or add diced jalapeños.
- Feel free to swap out rotini pasta for any other pasta shape you like, such as penne or elbow macaroni.
