Description

  • 1 lb (450g) Italian sausage meat (mild or spicy)

  • 4 servings of farfalle pasta

  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and roughly chopped

  • 7 oz (200g) cherry tomatoes, roughly chopped

  • 1 handful of fresh spinach

  • 2 tbsp tomato puree

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp chili flakes

  • ½ tsp black pepper


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage meat and cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

  • Once the sausage is cooked, add the garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Add the chopped cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they soften, about 3-4 minutes.

  • Stir in the tomato puree, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, and black pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes, stirring to combine.

  • Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 1 minute.

  • Meanwhile, cook the farfalle pasta according to the package instructions, then drain.

  • Mix the cooked pasta into the skillet with the sausage mixture, tossing to coat.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

 

  • Serve the cheesy chicken wraps with shredded cheese and your favorite condiments like sour cream or salsa.

Notes

  • You can substitute the farfalle pasta with any pasta shape you prefer.

  • For an extra cheesy experience, add a handful of shredded mozzarella or cheddar to the wraps.
