Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Garlic Bread:
    • 1 loaf French bread, sliced in half lengthwise
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Shrimp:
    • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Grilled Cheese:
    • 8 slices of your favorite cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix the softened butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, dried basil, and salt. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the French bread.
  • Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  • While the garlic bread is baking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  • Place one slice of the baked garlic bread, buttered side down, on a skillet over medium heat. Layer with slices of cheese and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella. Top with cooked shrimp. Cover with the second slice of garlic bread, buttered side up.
  • Butter the top of the sandwich. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Slice the sandwich in half and serve hot. Enjoy!
