- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the chicken breasts until no longer pink in the center. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
- Place the cooked chicken breasts and diced potatoes in a baking dish. Pour the creamy cheese sauce over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
