Description

A delicious twist on classic meatloaf, this recipe combines ground chicken with layers of ham and Swiss cheese, topped with a tangy mustard glaze. Perfect for a hearty family meal!


Ingredients

  • For the Meatloaf:
    • 1 lb ground chicken
    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 4 slices ham
    • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Press half of the chicken mixture into the bottom of the prepared loaf pan. Lay the slices of ham and Swiss cheese evenly over the top.
  • Spread the remaining chicken mixture over the ham and cheese, pressing it down gently to seal the loaf.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard and honey. Brush the mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
