Description

This Chicken Parmesan Calzone is a delicious twist on a classic dish, filled with tender chicken, rich marinara, and gooey cheeses, all encased in golden-brown pizza dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough into a large circle. Spread marinara sauce over half the dough, leaving the edges clean.
  • Layer shredded chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic powder over the sauce.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Brush the top of the calzone with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices or herbs to the filling, such as oregano or Italian seasoning.
