Description

These delicious Chicken Wonton Tacos feature crispy wonton wrappers filled with a savory ground chicken mixture, topped with fresh veggies for a delightful crunch. Perfect as an appetizer or a fun meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Filling:
    • 1 lb ground chicken
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • For the Tacos:
    • 20 wonton wrappers
    • Oil for frying
  • For the Toppings:
    • 1 cup shredded cabbage
    • 1/2 cup grated carrots
    • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix the ground chicken with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken mixture until fully cooked and browned. Stir in the cornstarch and cook for another minute until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  • Fry the Wontons: In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat for frying. Once hot, place the wonton wrappers in the oil, pressing down gently to form taco shapes. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  • Assemble the Tacos: Fill each crispy wonton taco shell with the chicken mixture. Top with shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped green onions.
  • Serve: Enjoy your Chicken Wonton Tacos warm, either as an appetizer or a main dish!

Notes

  • Adjust the toppings to your liking; avocado or a drizzle of sriracha can add extra flavor.
  • For a healthier option, bake the wonton wrappers instead of frying.
