Description

This Chimichurri Garlic Bread combines the rich, herby flavors of traditional chimichurri with the irresistible goodness of garlic bread. With fresh parsley, garlic, and olive oil, it’s the perfect side dish to accompany any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the parsley, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  • Slice the French bread in half horizontally.
  • Spread the chimichurri mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add red pepper flakes to the chimichurri mixture for a bit of heat.
  • If you prefer a softer texture, wrap the bread in foil while baking to keep it moist, and then uncover it for the last 2-3 minutes to crisp the edges.
  • This bread pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, pasta dishes, or salads.
