- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Banana Layer:
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Chocolate Filling:
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
For the Whipped Topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed chocolate cookies, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Add Banana Layer: Arrange the banana slices over the crust, then drizzle with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Prepare the Chocolate Filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the whipped heavy cream until well combined.
- Spread Chocolate Filling: Spread the chocolate filling evenly over the banana layer, smoothing the top.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the dessert to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Make Whipped Topping: In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until it begins to thicken. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Top and Serve: Spread the whipped topping over the chocolate layer just before serving.
