- 1 cup crushed chocolate wafer cookies
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix crushed chocolate wafer cookies and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add mashed bananas and mix until combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter over the crust in the pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
- Cool completely on a wire rack, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
- For a stronger banana flavor, use extra ripe bananas.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
