Description

A rich and decadent treat that combines the best of brownies, cheesecake, and cherry pie. These chocolate cherry cheesecake brownies feature a fudgy brownie base, a creamy cheesecake layer, and a sweet cherry swirl for the ultimate dessert indulgence.

  • For the Brownie Layer:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • For the Cheesecake Layer:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Cherry Swirl:
    • 1/2 cup cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until combined. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer. Using a knife or toothpick, swirl the cherry filling gently into the cream cheese layer to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the brownies comes out mostly clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

  • For an extra cherry touch, you can add more cherry pie filling on top after baking or serve with whipped cream.
  • These brownies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.
