Description

A delightful no-bake treat combining the rich flavors of semi-sweet and peanut butter chips with crunchy chow mein noodles, shaped into nest-like clusters and topped with colorful mini eggs. Perfect for Easter celebrations or springtime gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (approximately 2 cups)

  • 12 oz peanut butter chips (approximately 2 cups)

  • 12 oz chow mein noodles (approximately 5 cups)

  • 60 mini chocolate eggs (approximately 9 oz bag)

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.

  • In a large mixing bowl, gently fold the chow mein noodles into the melted chocolate mixture until evenly coated.

  • Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, shaping them into nest-like forms.

  • Press 3 mini chocolate eggs into the center of each nest.

  • Allow the nests to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for faster setting.

  • Once set, store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a variation, you can substitute the mini chocolate eggs with jelly beans or other small candies.

  • Ensure the chow mein noodles are broken into smaller pieces if they are too long to form nests easily.

  • These cookies can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
