A decadent chocolate cake layered with creamy ganache and studded with chopped peanut butter cups, perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup peanut butter cups, chopped
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- Beat sugar and softened butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Alternate mixing in the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda) and buttermilk until just combined. Fold in the chopped peanut butter cups.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled, layer the cakes with chocolate ganache and top with more chopped peanut butter cups.
Notes
For added flair, decorate with whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
