Description

These festive Santa suit sugar cookies are perfect for holiday baking! With bright red cookie dough, white icing, and mini chocolate chips, they’ll bring a smile to everyone who sees them. Fun to make and even more fun to eat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Red food coloring
  • White icing
  • Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add Wet Ingredients: Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
  • Add Flour: Gradually add the flour and mix until dough forms.
  • Color Dough: Divide the dough in half. Add red food coloring to one half and mix until the desired color is reached.
  • Roll and Cut: Roll out both dough halves separately and use a Santa suit-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies.
  • Bake: Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool and Decorate: Let the cookies cool completely before decorating with white icing and mini chocolate chips to complete the Santa suit design.

Notes

  • If you don’t have a Santa suit cookie cutter, you can use any Christmas-themed cutter or make your own design.
