Ingredients
Scale
For the Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. - Make the Cake Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. - Prepare the Cinnamon Filling:
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly. - Layer the Cake:
Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon filling mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top. Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together to create a marbled effect. - Bake the Cake:
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. - Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze:
While the cake is baking, make the glaze by combining the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. - Glaze the Cake:
Once the cake has cooled slightly, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm cake. - Serve:
Slice and serve the Cinnamon Roll Cake warm or at room temperature. Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea!
Notes
