- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the Greek yogurt and milk. Start and end with the dry ingredients.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
- Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the batter gently, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For an extra touch, drizzle a glaze over the bread once it’s cooled, made from powdered sugar and a little milk.
- This bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- You can substitute Greek yogurt with sour cream for a slightly different flavor.
