Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bacon (cooked)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.
- Prepare Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix to keep the burgers tender.
- Form Patties: Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.
- Cook Patties: Place patties on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium). Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to keep them juicy.
- Assemble Burgers: Toast burger buns on the grill or in a toaster. Place cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy!
