Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and sour cream until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In another bowl, prepare the cream cheese filling by beating the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then spread the remaining banana bread batter on top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
