Description

This Creamy Chicken Alfredo Dip is a rich, cheesy, and indulgent appetizer that brings together the flavors of classic chicken Alfredo in a creamy dip form. Perfect for dipping with bread, crackers, or veggies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the mixture thickens.
  • Lower the heat and add the cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Add 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted.
  • Stir in the shredded chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and mix until combined.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Optional: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  • Serve with crackers, bread, or veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken works best for convenience, but any cooked chicken can be used.
  • For extra flavor, top with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
  • This dip can also be served cold if you prefer not to bake it.
