Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts or thighs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add liquids and seasonings: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the chicken. Let everything simmer together for 3-5 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the sauce’s flavors.
- Serve: Garnish with additional Parmesan cheese or herbs if desired, and serve hot.
