  • 1 package jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions and drain.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef with garlic, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and cooked beef.
  • Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese and beef mixture, and arrange them in a baking dish.
  • Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and cover with foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove foil, and bake for another 10 minutes to let the cheese melt.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in some Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes.
