Description

A rich and flavorful pasta dish combining smoky kielbasa with a creamy tomato sauce, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. This comforting meal comes together quickly and is perfect for satisfying weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz kielbasa, sliced

  • 16 oz pasta (your choice)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce

  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste

  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • Dried parsley, for garnish


Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Slice kielbasa into rounds.

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove kielbasa and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  • Add heavy cream, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Stir to combine.

  • Season with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.

  • Return kielbasa and cooked pasta to skillet. Toss to coat and heat through.

  • Serve garnished with dried parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the sauce.

  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed to make this dish gluten-free.
