Description

These crispy onion rings are golden and crunchy on the outside with a soft and savory interior. Perfect as a snack or side dish, they are irresistible when served hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large onion, cut into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
  • Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then the milk mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
  • Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  • Remove the onion rings from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a healthier version, you can bake the onion rings instead of frying them. Preheat the oven to 425°F and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Customize the seasoning by adding cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
