Ingredients

4 red bell peppers, sliced

4 green bell peppers, sliced

1 large onion, sliced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

½ tablespoon garlic powder

1¼ cups marinara sauce

2 tablespoons salted butter

2 (19-ounce) packages Italian sweet sausages

Hot dog buns or cooked pasta, for serving
Instructions

Layer the sliced peppers and onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.

Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.

Pour marinara sauce over the vegetables.

Place the sausages on top of the sauce and vegetables.

Dot with butter.

Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until sausages are fully cooked and vegetables are tender.

Remove sausages, slice them, and return to the slow cooker.
