Description

Tender, savory beef chuck roast slow-cooked to perfection, served on hoagie rolls with melted provolone cheese and a rich dipping broth. Perfect for a comforting meal!


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Place the beef chuck roast in a crockpot and add sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and black pepper.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the beef and serve on hoagie rolls topped with provolone cheese.
  • Pour the cooking liquid into bowls for dipping and serve alongside the sandwiches.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or peppers to the sandwich.
