Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 box (9 oz) lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups spinach (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic. Drain any excess grease. Add marinara sauce, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan, and spinach if using. Stir until well combined.
- In the crockpot, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Layer uncooked lasagna noodles, breaking them as needed to fit. Add a layer of the ricotta mixture, then a layer of mozzarella. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the noodles are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
