A delicious and easy twist on traditional lasagna, this crockpot dish layers savory Italian sausage, cheesy ravioli, and rich marinara sauce for a comforting meal with minimal effort.

- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess fat and transfer the sausage to a plate.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
- Add the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano to the skillet. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a crockpot, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce mixture on the bottom.
- Layer frozen ravioli over the sauce, followed by a layer of ricotta cheese, then a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the ravioli are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired before serving.

- For added flavor, you can incorporate spinach or other vegetables into the layers.
