Description

This Crunchwrap Casserole is the ultimate comfort food with all the bold flavors of a Taco Bell crunchwrap, but made into a hearty casserole! Layers of seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes are tucked between flour tortillas and baked to bubbly perfection. It’s an easy, crowd-pleasing meal that’s perfect for taco night!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup nacho cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water as directed on the seasoning packet. Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In a casserole dish, line the bottom with 3 flour tortillas, slightly overlapping to cover the entire base.
  • Layer half of the ground beef mixture over the tortillas.
  • Spread half of the nacho cheese and sour cream on top of the beef.
  • Add half of the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheddar cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  • Fold the edges of the tortillas over the top to create a “crunchwrap” effect.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, slice into squares, and serve hot!

Notes

  • You can add extra ingredients like black beans or corn to the layers for more flavor and texture.
  • To make this recipe spicier, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce to the layers.
  • This casserole is great for meal prep and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
