2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
-
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
-
1 tablespoon sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
-
2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
Asian Slaw:
-
1 bag coleslaw mix
-
1/4 cup green onions, diced
-
1 tablespoon sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
-
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon honey
Shell & Toppings:
-
16 wonton wrappers
-
Sweet chili sauce, for topping
-
Sesame seeds, for garnish
-
Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
-
Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken slices with teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir well and let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
-
Make the Asian Slaw: In a separate bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, diced green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Toss well until the slaw is evenly coated and set aside.
-
Prepare the Wonton Wrappers: Heat a pan over medium heat. Place the wonton wrappers in the pan and cook them on both sides until they become crispy and golden brown (about 1-2 minutes per side). Remove them from the pan and set aside.
-
Cook the Chicken: In the same pan, cook the marinated chicken over medium heat until fully cooked (about 6-8 minutes). Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
-
Assemble the Tacos: Take a crispy wonton wrapper, and fill it with a spoonful of the cooked chicken. Top with a generous serving of the Asian slaw, and drizzle with sweet chili sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro.
-
Serve: Serve immediately while the tacos are crispy and fresh.
Notes
-
You can use store-bought coleslaw mix for convenience, or shred your own cabbage and carrots for a fresher option.
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of soy sauce or omit the sesame oil in the slaw.
