For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup mini M&M’s
- 1 cup cookie dough chunks (store-bought or homemade)
For the Ice Cream Layer:
- 1 quart chocolate ice cream, softened
For Assembly:
- 1 cup mini M&M’s, for garnish
- Cookie dough chunks, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Cheesecake Layer: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until combined.
- Add Whipped Cream: Fold in whipped cream until smooth and creamy. Stir in mini M&M’s and cookie dough chunks.
- Layer in Trifle Dish: In a trifle dish or a large glass bowl, layer half of the cheesecake mixture evenly.
- Add Ice Cream: Spoon half of the softened chocolate ice cream over the cheesecake layer, spreading evenly.
- Repeat Layers: Repeat the layers with the remaining cheesecake mixture and chocolate ice cream.
- Freeze: Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
- Garnish: Before serving, garnish with mini M&M’s and additional cookie dough chunks.
Notes
For an extra crunch, consider adding crushed cookies between layers.
