Scale
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until fully combined.
- Combine the Wet Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth and well mixed.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter will be thick.
- Bake the Bread:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Prepare the Topping:
- While the bread is baking, melt the 1/4 cup of butter for the topping in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Coat the Bread:
- Once the bread is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, remove the bread from the pan and brush the top with the melted butter.
- Immediately sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the top of the bread. You can also coat the sides for extra flavor.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy this deliciously sweet treat warm or at room temperature!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) or a drizzle of glaze over the top.
- Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage.
