- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Add Pecans: Remove the crust from the oven and immediately sprinkle the pecan halves evenly over the hot crust.
- Drizzle Caramel: Drizzle the caramel sauce over the pecans, spreading it out to cover them evenly.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
- Final Bake: Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the chocolate chips are melted and the caramel is bubbly.
- Cool and Cut: Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For an extra touch, you can sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top before serving.
