Description

These crispy Fried Mozzarella Cheese Bites are the perfect appetizer or snack. Each mozzarella cube is breaded and fried to golden perfection, creating a crunchy outside and a gooey, melty inside. Serve with marinara sauce for the ultimate cheesy indulgence!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 oz block of mozzarella cheese, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  • In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt.
  • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  • Place the flour in a third shallow dish.
  • Dredge each piece of mozzarella in the flour, dip in the beaten eggs, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the coated cheese bites on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes to ensure they hold their shape when frying.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
  • Fry the cheese bites in batches for about 1-2 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure the cheese bites are frozen before frying to prevent the cheese from melting out.
  • If you don’t have a deep fryer, you can also fry them in a large pan with about 2 inches of oil.
  • For a twist, try using a different dipping sauce like ranch or a spicy marinara.
