A delicious twist on classic sloppy joes, served on cheesy garlic bread rolls for the ultimate comfort food experience.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 6 garlic bread rolls (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- While the sloppy joe mixture cooks, preheat the oven to 375F (190C).
- Brush the garlic bread rolls with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Place the rolls in the oven and toast for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove the garlic bread from the oven and top each piece with a slice of cheese. Place back in the oven for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the cheesy garlic bread rolls.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a side of coleslaw or pickles for a complete meal.
