  • 1 pound sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the scallops in a single layer in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the scallops with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring each scallop is well-coated.
  • In another bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the scallops.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and the topping is golden and crispy.
  • Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For added flavor, you can include a dash of your favorite herbs or spices in the breadcrumb mixture. Adjust the cayenne pepper according to your heat preference.
