Description

Savor the rich flavors of tender steak bites sautéed in garlic butter, served over creamy mashed potatoes. This hearty meal is perfect for any occasion and sure to impress!


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter for mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper for mashed potatoes

Instructions

  • Boil the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water for 15-20 minutes, or until tender. Drain and mash with heavy cream, 2 tablespoons butter, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with salt and pepper. Sear steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt 4 tablespoons butter. Add garlic and thyme, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter until fully coated.
  • Serve the steak bites over the creamy mashed potatoes for a perfect, hearty meal.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or onions.
