Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare Shrimp:
    Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook Shrimp:
    In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook, stirring frequently, for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
    Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  • Finish Sauce:
    Once the shrimp are cooked, stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Serve:
    Transfer the shrimp to a serving dish and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce from the skillet. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
    Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
