Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 hot dogs or sausages of choice
  • 4 pineapple rings, fresh or canned
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha (optional for spice)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  • Grill the hot dogs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until heated through and slightly charred.
  • While the hot dogs cook, brush the pineapple rings with olive oil and grill them for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized.
  • Warm the hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix mayo and sriracha if using to create a spicy mayo sauce.
  • Assemble the hot dogs by placing a grilled hot dog in each bun, topping with grilled pineapple, red onion slices, and cilantro.
  • Drizzle teriyaki sauce over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
