  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • In another bowl, mix bananas, sugars, butter, vanilla, and eggs. Combine with dry ingredients, then fold in walnuts.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool the cake, top with whipped cream, and garnish with more walnuts.

Notes
