Description

This Hibachi Steak recipe delivers the savory, tender taste of grilled steak cooked in a rich, flavorful sauce. It’s a quick and easy dish that brings the delicious flavors of hibachi cooking right to your kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb boneless steak (sirloin or filet), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

For the Sauce:

  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons teriyaki sauce or mirin
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the Steak:

    • In a large skillet or wok, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
    • Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add the steak pieces to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
    • If using, drizzle sesame oil over the steak for added flavor.
  • Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, teriyaki sauce (or mirin), and pepper.
    • Pour the sauce into the skillet with the cooked steak. Stir well to coat the steak in the sauce and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Finish the Dish:

    • Once the steak is fully coated with the sauce, remove from heat and serve.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, serve with a side of hibachi-style fried rice or grilled vegetables.
  • You can adjust the amount of soy or teriyaki sauce based on your personal preference for saltiness or sweetness.
